Youth programs and youth program options

Youth programs consist of a set of specific activities that engage young people from late childhood into early adulthood. A youth program can be focused on youth development, recreation, developing social skills, helping at-risk youth, or a variety of learning activities.

Increasingly, local organizations rely on interactive, online resources to provide assessment, deliver engaging curriculum, and augment their youth programs with the most current and relevant learning experiences. Plus, online sources provide access for youth, while their actively involved their youth programs, and later when they return home or to school or to the community center.

Common for youth programs include life skills, social skills, financial learning, career planning, workplace success learning, and ways to assist at-risk youth. Many youth programs are focused on troubled teens, and providing effective tools and resources is essential for both professional development for those youth program staff members, as well as the students participating in the youth program.
