Speak on Purpose develops, provides, and trains on the InnerState1 program, focused on relationship skills, interpersonal skills, communication, self esteem, anger management, conflict resolution, and much more. InnerState1 provides a valuable and relevant dimension to the Peak Mastery series of life skills programs by offering teens the ability to improve their human interactions, relationships, and opportunities in any social setting. The mission of Speak on Purpose is to define, inspire, and perpetuate purpose in teams and individuals. TeenSkills.com

TeenSkills.com is a compilation of entertaining, attention-capturing life skill resources for teens, focused on parents and their teens, for use in the home, and employing many of the Peak Mastery programs found on this Pikes Peak Learning web site. For parents, TeenSkills.com is an online coach, giving young people motivation, confidence and responsibility through exploring and practicing real life situations. Kids with different backgrounds and abilities will discover how to take the right steps towards being on their own. TeenSkills is designed to help teenagers learn real-life skills for independence in the safety of the home and help sons and daughters transition to independent living with a solid knowledge base of life skills. True Life Interactive

True Life Interactive was the original online life skills, independent living, financial literacy, and real-world-readiness program program, first developed in 1987 as a printed curriculum, and then launched on the World Wide Web in 2001. Originally developed by Ed Kolerich to show his kids the value of education and the connections between education, career, money, and lifestyle, it is now incorporated in Pikes Peak Learning Company's Peak Discovery and Peak Readiness programs - which still use the "True Life Chart" that has helped so many young people across the US for the last 20 years. True Life Interactive was acquired by Pikes Peak Learning in 2005 and continues as the inspiration and model for how to help young people prepare for life using innovation, online, interactive curriculum. We still support all True Life users, since 2001.

Knowledge Factor

Knowledge Factor is the originator of CBA - Confidence-Based Assessment (tm) - a new way to measure knowledge as an accurate predictor of individual and organizational performance. CBA measures true knowledge or competency - what a person actually knows vs. what they think they know - and identifies where there is doubt or misinformation. Launched in September of 2000, Knowledge Factor was established with a focus on developing processes, tools and systems to create effective and engaging assessments for delivery over the Internet. Upon acquiring a proprietary assessment tool that had been developed over a decade of research, Knowledge Factor focused its efforts on closing the knowledge gap for learners as well as developing approaches to targeted learning (see their web site to learn more about Knowledge Factor).

Colorado Springs Technology Incubator at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs

CSTI serves to foster the development and success of high-growth companies in the greater Colorado Springs area. The mission of the organization is to provide resources to entrepreneurs, allowing them to successfully grow their companies into major employers in the area. These companies will contribute high-wage jobs, an outlet for local intellectual capital and contributions to the local and national economy (see the CSTI web site).

The Pikes Peak Learning Company is a client company of CSTI. Pikes Peak Learning benefits from in-depth advisory services, research capabilities, and educational development through the University of Colorado and the Colorado Springs business community. Facilities provided by the Incubator allow PPLC to manage operations and expand at minimal cost and get access to a variety of technical, marketing, and professional resources.

Sam Kirk and Associates (SKA)

SKA is a Denver, Colorado, based career counseling firm that has served clients nation-wide for over twenty-five years. SKA has developed an extensive self-assessment process that enables students to understand their values, interests, skills and preferred work environment. With this understanding, individuals are then empowered to make career decisions that result in career satisfaction. Students have the information they need to define their career goals and develop a plan to achieve them.

Samuel Kirk received the top training award in the country, presented by President Bush in April of 1989, for assisting in the design and delivery of a comprehensive career development program for IBM. Over 3,000 employees and 700 managers participated in this transition program. In addition to counseling clients, he taught masters level courses in career planning, career development in organizations, and career counseling for Webster University, Chapman University, University of Phoenix, and Colorado Mountain College. He has also taught at such esteemed schools as Colorado State University, the University of Northern Colorado, John F. Kennedy University, and the Iliff School of Theology.
